What has happened to my IM?

This morning when I tried to log in to Instant Messenger I was greeted with a pop up that told me I had to download an upgrade to improve it. Since I couldn't circumvent this I duly clicked for the upgrade. On the first attempt I was told that I had to remove the old version first, although why it wasn't set up to do that automatically I cannot understand. I then saved the upgrade in my programs file and deleted the old version. I then attempted to install the new version again but this time was told to restart my computer. I did as I was told and restarted and again attempted to install it only to be greeted with the same pop up telling me to install the new version , which is exactly what I was intending to do. I tried again and this time I was told that there was a file which could not be read so please start again. Each time I try I get the SAME OLD POPUP. I have now lost the use of IM and as far as I was concerned that was the main benefit of Senior Sizzle. Now I don't know which of you are online and I can't chat which is very frustrating. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM?

 Magically the problem seems to have corrected itself and I am back on Friendfinder messenger with version 3.0.21. Obviously this blog was of no interest to anyone except myself.
