Hubby and I have been in a long distance relationship for over 5 years now, i'm curious if anyone has endured the same heart renching circumstances. And how do you deal with it?

 I have been in a long distance relationship myself, and it went really bad. She was very dishonest with me. And she had another man's child while she swore she loved me. Yet, I'm conflicted, coz even though she did all this shit to me, I wonder if I did the right thing shutting her out? Every friend I have tells me I did, but I guess it's coz I have yet to find someone to replace her.

So, my relationship went to hell.

 My first girlfriend moved 900 miles away from me, in 1969. She hasn't spoken to me since.

Other girlfriends have also moved various distances away from me (from as little as a few hundred yards, to as far as another continent), and - usually - they neither call nor write.

I find long-distance relationships to be rather frustrating....
