Why am I lying here awake

So it's another night and I can't get my mind to turn off. I've tried masturbating and reading and still I can't seem to get more than about an hour's sleep at a time.

I really need to find a non chemical way to turn my mind off. Now I know why my husband drank so much. He once told me that it was the only way to quiet his mind enough to get some sleep. But I don't want to go down that road. I know things will get better as soon as I find another job and that stress leaves me. But what do I do in the meantime. So here I sit rambling on here, hoping to bore myself to sleep.
