Is it worth it?

Never blogged before. Never used this site for more than watching webcams before. I suppose that means I'm a bit of a virgin here....
So why am I writing this...well, as the name says, I'm shy. Not much self-confidence when it comes to women (until I get to know them at least). So, having tried "normal" dating sites in the past, to various levels of success, I'm debating whether or not to pay for this one. So, is paid membership worthwhile, or does it generally depend on what you are looking for, and the amount of other members in your area?
That's about the gist of it....

 Thanks for replying. With some other "dating sites" I've found that there are only a small number of local profiles and once you/they've decided that there is no interest the site itself has served its usefulness. There doesn't appear to be a huge amount of local women on here, so that scenario may well repeat itself here. The money side of things is not really a big deal, as I could treat myself to a gold membership but I wonder if I would really get much use from that membership than what I do now. That's more where my question is aimed although I haven't put that across very well initially.
