Repost (with modifications/additions) - One of the biggest Cons of the "Lifestyle" - STDs , Sexually Transmitted Diseases
Hardly anyone talks about it here, find that quite weird.
HPV, a std, is becoming quite common though in 80% of cases body itself acquires self immunity within a period of 2 yrs against it. Vaccine Available for it.
Of all the different stds, including the dreaded HIV, one of the common ones is genital warts, which is almost incurable , and for life, the symptoms can be suppressed with few weeks of treatment, but they can rarely be cured and they keep coming back. So who are quite regular in this and take breaks for few weeks, you can well imagine, what that is for. The worse part is the carrier may not themselves know for weeks or months that they have it.
Some useful information here http:// www. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001889/ , google for more.
The community here is not that big as it is thought, and people here discuss about couples, and many here are so naive that they post their adventures on their walls, who they have done it with, sort of boasting , as if some achievement, we pity their ignorance. Of the many we have met in real, hardly anyone has discussed about STDs. You will amazed how many are suffering from it.
One of the solutions could be, though not foolproof, after getting yourself tested, one could confine the relationship between similar tested one or two compatible couples , and then all could be morally bound not to 'play' outside the group. But seeing the attitude of people here, read that "who cares, we are here just for fun", we have our doubts.
Condoms could be lifesavers, one should use it for all penetrations and even for orals, for performing cunnilingus one should use a dental dam or cut a condom and place it over genital then perform.
One should remember that most stds are just viruses/bacterias, a lot depend upon self immunity so been fit plays a vital role, the fitter and stronger you are, the more chances you have of not catching a std or recovering from it.
Play Safe. (p.s-cannot reply to any query here, catch us on chat for any clarification)
