I saw an ex-girlfriend today, just as friends. (I have stayed on good terms with most of my ex-girlfriends.) We had both previously agreed that neither of us intended to try dating each other again. Though, apparently, she still has feelings for me. I think it surprised her as well. I think next time I see her I will reaffirm that I do not intend to make any commitments to her. This situation is new to me. It is a bit confusing.

Holiday Break

I am done with my first semester. It was a lot of work. I learned a lot, most of it interesting. I have some interesting projects to show for it. While school and work keep me very busy I am looking forward to next semester.
There was also a talent competition. While the scoring and judges were geared more towards the singers and musicians, I was still getting compliments on my poetry more than a week after the event. I am also being asked about performing my poetry next year, for pay. I hope, in time, to have enough good poetry to publish.
I am in Appleton for the holiday break. Having been away I feel a little disconnected from my friends. Perhaps I will meet some new friends while I am here.
I also have a birthday coming up, between christmas and new years. Sadly, it is pretty near impossible to get together with friends during that time frame. Everyone is visiting family, or has family visiting them. Can I change my birthday?

Ok, I have not written anything for a while. I have made some changes in my life. I moved to Green Bay in August of 2012. I am going back to school and changing career fields. I had forgotten how much work moving can be. There are lots of things to deal with that one does not always think of. Going back to school has offered some unusual challenges as well.
Being reletively new to Green Bay I am still looking to meet people and make friends. Is there anyone here that might like to show me around and/or introduce me to people?

I have been taking some Latin Dance classes; Salsa, Merengue, and a little bit of Bachata. After two months I have reached the point where I am comfortable and having fun with it even when I make mistakes. I also want to take classes in Swing and Ballroom again. I am also hoping that at some point I will find someone I can share the classes with and practice with outside of the classes. For now I am just enjoying the classes.

I have finally decided to become a paid member of a dating website. However, it is not this website. I did some research and Match d o t c o m. looks like a better option. The whole thing is unpredictable. We meet people when we are not looking. It is difficult to get a feel for who someone truly is through writing. Sometimes the timing is just off. It seems the best we can do is just make ourselves available to meet people and see what happens. Meeting the right person is something that happens in its own time.

It occurs to me that not everyone can view my profile. So figure this might be a way to make the information more accessible. You can also contact me by posting a response here. By setting it so I review everything before it shows up I can keep what you write private.
I enjoy learning new things, using what I have learned to design something, and then actually creating it. In fact I enjoy most things that involve creativity. I enjoy spending time with friends. I also have enjoyed dancing (swing and ballroom) and would like to take classes again at some point. I find time in nature relaxing, One of my ideas is to design and build my own boat. I could go on; my interests cover a wide variety of things.

OK. I am back. I am not putting a much energy into looking for someone through Senior Sizzle, though I am open to the possibility if the right woman comes along.
I am working at a new job. In theory it is temporary, though they moved me to one of the lines that doesn't seem to lay people off. Apparently the management likes my work. Now they are teaching me to run one of the machines. I am still looking into other opportunities.
I am not originally from Appleton, nor Wisconsin for that matter. I am wondering about how to meet single women without doing the bar scene. I am wondering if you might have any suggestions? Or is Senior Sizzle the wrong place to ask?

Ok. I have been away for a month and a half. Life has been busy. There are other things going on in my life besides wanting to date again. Also, because there does not seem to be a lot of return on the time invested, Senior Sizzle is not a priority for me. I want to spend more time on some of my creative projects in woodworking, writing, and other things. I am also taking some time to look at other possible career paths. That is not saying I don't have time for dating. If I happen to find someone who is a good match then I will make time for her.

My house sitting job ends Saturday evening, or Sunday morning if there is a problem with there connecting flights. I am trying to decide what to do for the rest of the holiday weekend. Any family living inn the area are going to be gone for the weekend, so I am kind of on my own. Does anyone have an interesting suggestions?
