Mirror of the mountains on the lake.
Clearer than clear, it almost looks fake.
Clear as day the wind wipes it away.
Trees and rocks stand tall, time tested.
Relax, take it in, well rested.
Serenity, find peace here, calm the soul.
Hear the wind blow pasts the leaves.
Sun is shining with a cool summer breeze.
Thoughts of you are in my head.
Take time to sort it out.

What I did was set you free.
We had it good for a short time.

What it is about her?
It can be explained in many ways.
Sometimes just being with her,

Take a trip up North to get away.
Found a cabin where we can stay.
Deep in the woods there are no phones.
Fireplace is made of all field-stones.
Bundles of wood set on the floor.
Crackling pops as we start the fire.
Candles are lit, to set the mood.
Cheese and crackers are our only food.
Sheepskin rugs lay out, we share glasses of wine.
With you, us together, all is fine.
The skies turn white as the snow starts flying.
Winds are howling like babies crying.
It's cold outside but cozy in here.
We will be fine, nothing to fear.
No other place I would rather be.
Your face is glowing in the light.
Just you and I are in for the night.
Put more wood on to the fire.
The scent in the air is filled with desire.

They built Dreams and Hopes.
Arms pulled me out of my own way.
These hands hold my future.
These feet wandered I walked many lands.
They led me to where I am today.
My legs are strong to carry me.
The feet marched and ran many miles.
The face is a face only a mother can love and she does.
The rest of you have to get used to it.
Winds of deserts and seas have slapped it.
The eyes have seen things I won’t say all.

Greener than green are the mountains today.
We went riding on the Kancamagus Highway.
The mountains were painted in the blue sky.
Sunshine, feels warm upon us.
An eagle soars, hear it cry.
The story unfolds as we rest at Sabbaday Falls.
A short walk to tranquility, simple pleasures set us free.
A Pool of water collects under two tiers of walls.
Flowing are reflections of the day’s events.
They are passing downstream like memories in our minds.
We leave, time passed by, the river winds.
Fall crept upon us, winters on our heels.
Most the trees are barren, standing tall.
They are guardians of the mountains, skeletons without their leaves.
They are showered by time, taking what nature deals.
Greener than green are the evergreens covered with snow.

Twin towers, they're no more.
A plan devised.

Nine Eleven, souls faded to heaven.
Saw the fire and smoke billow up into the sky.

Sirens blast, was One Liberty on the way down?
Was reassured it was not.
Outside Pace University was in the ashes of steel and bone.
Short-Lived, brought us closer as a nation.
Troops man their battle stations.
The smoke burned my eyes.
The tears flow down my face.
So brutal were the attacks.
Twin towers gone forever, never forget.
