Have you ever wondered about how similar some of the profile shots can be on this website? Oh, I have my theories as to why. I’ll bet you do too. This week, I ran across three sets of twins. I found it interesting that by the end of the week, at least one of the pair had been unplugged and were no longer on the site, at least in two instances.

Confused? Well, luckily my best example is still around, at least temporarily.

First, check out nycsophie. nycsophie I’ve known about Sophie for awhile and when I was looking I lusted after her. I would have loved to see her during some of my business time in New York. Of course, she never returned my mailings.

Little did I realize that her twin sister lives a lot closer: in Baltimore of all places. This week, I stumbled upon tumio2yy. tumio2yy The resemblance was too much!

Let’s put them side-by-side, to compare:

nycsophietumio2yy

Not only could they be twin sisters, likely they are the same woman at the same photo shoot. And likely there are more examples of this out there too.

This is the latest in our occasional series on infidelity.*

What happens when you find your spouse is cheating? Well, you know the cliché saying: “Don’t get mad. Get even!” That’s the tack of this profile, which unfortunately was shut down before we could examine it here. This is different than the woman calling out to her husband in Busted You have to wonder if MygollyMISSmolly was successful. Here is the profile, word-for-word:

MYgollyMISSmolly

he’s cheating and so will I

37 year old Woman in Baltimore, Maryland, United States

Profile for MYgollyMISSmolly:

Just looking out there to see what else I could possibly have. I’m unhappy in my current relationship (a real dick but almost scared to leave) and am wondering if people would be interested in me. I am a very loving woman that only asks to be treated the same way that you would want to be treated. Seems like every guy I date just doesn’t care for my feelings. I want to be truly loved by someone. I have a lot to offer and am a good-looking woman. Are all men jerks?

Ideal Person:

Like I said, my husband is cheating on me, and he thinks that I have no idea but I do. So if he can do that to me, then I can do the same to him. I’m looking for a man who can have great sex with me and should be pretty attractive, with a good bod, after all I have a nice bod and keep myself well kept. Just a casual type relationship that is strictly sexual and fueled by raw heat, passion, and sex, nothing more. Just wanna get back at him and make him jealous and well furious...but he if he thinks he can get away with it, then so will I!

It seems once that line is crossed the spiral of retaliations can be quite intense.

My writing voice is choked as I type these words. The true chilling effect has settled like a pall of snow over me in wintertime.

The truth of the limitations here is ever evident and I tread carefully as I write this because to slip too far in one direction means banishment.

The event that sends this creative chill is the freezing of Barbiebunny’s original blog. Some may know that this author is a fan of [blog barbiebunny] (See: Centennial Celebration Week & Centennial Celebration Favorite Blogs). The TATTLER’s Publisher broke the story about [blog barbiebunny] banishment last week and others on The Tattler have worked on her behalf. (For more see: BARBIEBUNNY69 BANISHED FROM BLOGLAND & [post 96335].) But the fallout still resonates with me.

Part of the problem is the sketchiness of the details. The Publisher skillfully pieced his report together without giving too many specifics. To repeat the offending remark would be to court banishment too. We know the offense concerned an offhand statement regarding bestiality.

The good news in all of this is that [blog barbiebunny] has revived her blog under a slightly new handle. Go visit her new spot. She’s hoping the problems won’t completely destroy the readership she has worked to build.

Her old blog is frozen and the offending comment removed, a testament to the powers of the censors.

How is it that a sex site would not allow an open discussion on this matter, when even family newspapers can report on the topic and print the details? (For those who want examples look no further than the recent case in Washington state which had lethal implications for one man.)

By mentioning this topic, did [blog barbiebunny] violate the Terms of Use? (A close reading says the administrators can ban someone at their whim. The topic that caused [blog barbiebunny] banishment is specifically mentioned. However, that document also bans “pornographic or sexually explicit material.” If all of that were banned though, how much of the site would remain? ) The topic she mentioned is actually legal in 17 states in the U.S., including Washington state. Is it fringe behavior? No doubt. I have no idea what was actually said, but that should not matter. A free and open discussion of sex should allow for debate on all topics, even those that make some of us squeamish. There are all sorts of kinks represented on this site. If debate about sex is not part of the communication process here, then what is? Some acts are clearly out of bounds but to ban their very mention is excessive.

(All the statistics noted here are as of 11 a.m. EDT Sept. 16, 2005)

Part I

This is the second blog entry that is more or less housekeeping to give a glimpse inside the editing of Ruminations. (For the first entry, see: Taking Stock.) With the centennial celebration, this was an appropriate milestone to look back on the evolution of this blog.

As some have noted, this is no longer a boutique blog. When I first started, entries came about once a week, and sometimes a bit more. Now, this blog is more like what a mid-list author is to a publishing house. This is not a star blog on the top of the popularity charts. However, sometimes Ruminations does get noticed. This shift has occurred mainly because in mid-June this blog began appearing with new entries on most weekdays instead of on an irregular basis. This coincides with the end of my search on this website. My energies have been channeled into the writing, as I hoped they would be, instead of elsewhere.

Some features have also changed. We now have a regular music discussion and the new football feature has proved to be popular. Some of the blog is also connected to Keithcancook’s virtual newspaper, The Tattler. The rest of the entries remain with the same mix as before: satire, serious essays, diary postings, sexual memoirs, rants, voyeuristic searches, erotica, and investigative articles aimed at the scam artists and prostitutes on the site.

The material for Ruminations is something I feel must come out. I now have pages of ideas for future postings. So there is an interesting symbiosis here. The blog is written for my creative needs, but also to get at least some audience. As I have said in the past, a writer needs some sense of audience, even if it is a small circle. Otherwise, I would be keeping a diary and not posting this where others could see and comment.

Since this blog’s shift in mid-June, the changes of interest among the audience are evident.

Centennial Celebration: The 100 Facts Game Twist*

Every party needs a party game, right? What? There’s already too much game playing here? Well, alright. But this is just a little game and all in fun. No maliciousness intended.

You know the fad right now: list 100 facts about yourself in your blog.
Sounds like a lot of work to me. So how about a twist?

Game Guidelines

1. If you leave a comment, list one fact you have learned about me from this blog. There are more than 100 entries now (still somewhat under dispute, but close) so there’s more than enough to draw from.

2. Please leave one fact per comment. Multiple comments are welcome. (But if I know bloggers, I know folks will leave what they will and put in as many facts as they like per entry.)

3. The winner will be the person who collects the most facts and posts them. In case of a tie, the most revealing set of facts wins. The declaration of the winner by your blog party host will be final.

Let the Game Begin!

*Considering that no entry in this blog has ever accumulated more than 18 comments, this will be more like a game of 20 facts. If we are lucky. No matter. What will be turned up in this fact-finding mission?

More Centennial Celebration Week festivities! Today, we are visiting some of the blogs that I’ve discovered recently. Some are popular, and some are not. I’m a recent visitor to all of these and so far they seem engaging. For some reason, many of these are in the UK. Perhaps it is the influence of Helga? No matter. Why not check them out yourself?

Female Blogs

[blog saintlianna]
This blog is rocketing up the most popular list, so I am a bit behind on discovering the wicked prose within. The blog drips with the musk of sex and the descriptions of this woman’s thoughts are rich and detailed. High-calorie but scrumptious.

Kiss and Tell
So far plenty of material here about kissing. So this is a very sensuous spot. Like any good kiss, you just want more.

THE SEX AVENGER
Don’t you just love that blog title!? I love her handle better: emmapeal. Of course, that is one of the first TV crushes I had as a young boy. What I would have done to get Ms. Emma alone and away from John Steed. Oh, sorry... We were talking about this very sexy blog of a nurse and sometime model in the UK. Too bad her profile is turned off, because I wanted to confirm my notion that she may be from an Asian background. What you’ll find: sexy pictures and stories, especially about her special friend spikeryder.

Male Blogs

[blog TheQuietGuy2005]
This British blog is zooming up the popularity charts, so I’m a little slow to get to this party. Nevertheless, if you want some wry humor mixed with insightful commentary, this is the place.

[blog VoodooGuru1]
Back in the states now to New York, where [blog VoodooGuru1] holds forth on music, women, and life. You can find intriguing and honest commentary here.

----
This blogger in Denver just started up last month but he makes interesting observations about sex, life and this website. So far, the reading goes down smooth. Be warned though, his profile picture is revealing.

[blog MrBreeze99USA]
This blogger in Pennsylvania moves between rants and detailed commentary about this website, his experiences and sexual life. An interesting new read.

A Delicious Slice of Life
The waters run deep in this British blog. Be prepared for thought-provoking material. The author soars (literally) in many of his entries.

sex, uninverse & everything
Another in the line of newly discovered British blogs, this writer has the mix that I have come to like: music discussion, hot pictures, and tales of his exploits and thoughts. Nicely written too. Plus there’s plenty of cross-pollination with his fellow blogger emmapeal. Yes, plenty of cross-pollination.

For other TATTLER reports covering the ongoing flood crisis in BlogLand, check these entries: Monster Storm Strikes Southern BlogLand; [post 88270]; [post 88154]; [post 88766]; and [post 88807].

Backstory

A flood has hit BlogLand while [blog sexyfitwoman] is visiting the U.K. Working with the government, The Publisher has arranged for buses stocked with tequila to transport some of the afflicted to aid and comfort stations established by [blog expatbrit49] and The Editor/Assistant Mayor. Barbiebunny69 and [blog candy69sosweet] have volunteered to help at the comfort stations. Meanwhile, the regular Tattler staff has been stretched to its limits during the crisis. After a quickie with an intern, [blog dz2502] roused your humble marketing director from his sleep with the latest Tyra Banks lingerie catalog (a gift from his centennial celebration party) and sent him to see The Publisher about crisis coverage. Then [blog dz2502] headed out for a haircut before reporting to the front lines and the sandbagging operations. Despite objections, The Publisher drafted your humble marketing director to write a crisis story. Equipped with a wetsuit and a leaky dinghy, your marketing director has sent back the following:

. . . . AFriendFinder TATTLER
TATTLER Aids BlogLand Refugees
. . . BlogLand’s Heritage at Risk!

In the face of the worst disaster to hit BlogLand in recorded history, bloggers of all sorts have fled entirely, leaving behind blogs for ransack, pillage and plagiarism.

“We should have seen it coming,” said Dr. Harrison E. Mudd, a noted computer ecological engineering specialist and author of What’s Virtual about Virtual Reality? Dr. Mudd agreed to accompany a specially equipped TATTLER team exploring the origins of the flood and how deserted blogs could be saved. Floating on the stormy seas of BlogLand, the team set out on its exploratory journey.

The counter says this blog has reached 100 entries. But has it?

No matter how that question is answered, this week, this blog is celebrating.

And here’s how we’ll start:

Thanks!

That goes out to everyone who has stopped to comment. That goes out to all who stop by to read, whether you comment or not. If this blog makes you think or puts a smile on your face, or gets you worked up, and you come back for more, well, I thank you for the return visit.

But there is the question about the actual number of posts. Some might question the accounting. For instance, one post on turned into a four-part epic because it refused to stay in the blog as one entry. Does that count as one or four? There are two posts that stayed up due to technical difficulties and would have been pulled but they started discussions of their own. Do they count? There is one repeat. Does it really count twice? And there is one entry from a guest. Does it count? So, you see, entry #107 might be the real centennial mark.

This is no debate about when the millennium actually started, but to clear up any confusion or controversy, we will celebrate all week in a number of ways.

This blog will be thanking a long list of folks all week, so if you don’t get named in this entry, just hang on, I hope we get to you. And if we don’t get to you personally, sorry for the oversight, but no slight was intended.

First, I want to thank those who come here on a regular basis to discuss the wide variety of topics offered. Many of these folks have contributed and supported this blog from the very beginning back in March. These folks all contribute at a rate that is double the casual reader, and some contribute at a rate more than four times the average.

keithcancook...The Publisher of The Tattler and a friend and supporter from the beginning. Thanks.

JF...One of my blogging pals, I hope he is not on his way out of here. Thanks.

Lil...She’s my hard rockin’ honey in the heartland. Thanks.

[blog sexyfitwoman]...The Mayor of Blogville who is off on an adventure now. She has been a supporter and friend from the start. Thanks.

Darth Murax...The sith lord of Married seeking lover(s). Not only does he stir up the discussion, but he has also graced this blog with a guest entry. Thanks.

[blog TomEboy10]...Another true blogging pal who would be great to share a six with and hash about football and tunes. Thanks.

[blog feel_my_heat]...The queen of Married seeking lover(s) and other discussion groups. She has supported this blog from the start and she is a friend. Thanks.

[blog straightten2002]...A real friend and supporter. She is the official Caramel Queen. Thanks.

[blog jayR63]...She likes to keep me on the straight and narrow. Stick pins in me. But she always adds life to this party and we appreciate her. Thanks.

Barbiebunny69...Our resident U2 fanatic, she is the true California dream girl in her corset and boots. Thanks.

[blog Priapeo]...Our resident Italian philosopher. We are always honored when he makes an appearance. Thanks.

[blog SexTitten25]...She appears to have blown out of BlogLand, but while she was visiting this blog we were always happy to see our Canadian sex kitten. Thanks.

[blog dz2502]...Currently, the star reporter for The Tattler, our northern neighbor is always welcome here with his funny and yet pithy comments. Thanks.

[blog mzhunyhole]...The reigning queen of BlogLand. We are always honored when royalty stops here as she does quite often. Thanks.

I also want to thank two long-time readers who have visited this blog from the first week forward. I see their names in the Recent Visitors box weekly if not daily. They may not leave a comment often, but when I see them reading, I am reassured:

Ultraviolet_69...Thank you for your frequent visits.

zenyen...He’s on hiatus from his blog and he’s stopped leaving comments, but I see him reading. Thanks.

More celebration coming as the week progresses!
